The Journey

Late In My Life I Took A Journey, The LORD And I Walked Along The Way
As We Journey Along In This Life, The Truth Is Often Reveled Before,
Boss & I Drove To Work That Morning, We Saw Three Crosses Set On A Hill,
His Sprit Blind, Viewed The Spectacle, Said "I Wonder What Those Are For?",
He Didn't Seem To Know, I Sat In Silence, Afraid To Show The Way I Feel.
That Morning I Was On The Job And All I Did Was Wrong, The Boss Would Say,
This Journey, T'was Destiny, And On It, My FATHER Opened My Eyes To See.
The Job Was In North Garland, Far North Side Of Dallas, Cash, Tx My Home,
All Morning, I Sensed The Foe Swarming Around, Pok'n Fun At Me, The Christian
All Day In Vain The LORD'S Name I Heard, This Chilled Me To The Bone,
I'm A Good Carpenter, But Mistakes I Made Put My Faith To The Test, No Resisting
The Trip Ahead Became More Certain, Though I Tried To Do My Best, I Had To Flee
I Tried To Stay, But About Ten A.M. My Flight, Began, I Ran To The Light
I Knew Destruction Awaited My Next Mistake, So I Began My Escape,
I Grabbed My Lunch, My Toolbox, And My Pride Left Without Goodbye.
When JESUS Is On Your Side, Your Like Superman With Your Cape.
As My Walk Progressed, I A World Of Wonders Reveled To My Eye.
I Walked And Talked To Him, Asked For Strenght, In My Current Plight.
I Marveled At All The People, On Their Way, To Another Busy Day
I Saw All The Rich Homes And Cars That Money Could Buy,
Loaded Down When I Departed, My Spirit Was Getting Very Heavy.
In This Life I've Had Lots Of Trials, And Real Men Don't Cry.
I Would Have Gladly Taken A Ride, Even If It Was In A Chevy.
But It Was Early, Day Half Over, The LORD Words In My Heart, What The Hey
When I'd Started On This Trip, I Thought A Little Walk Would Be Good,
In This World Of New Tecnology, I Had A Cell Phone For A Rescue
As The LORD & I Walked & Talked I Stopped, Ate My Sandwich & Chips,
I Was Glad I Had This Food, I Rested & Thanked Him, & Onward My Que.
My Lunch Box Was Old, Worn, Empty And Usless I Left It In A Ditch.
My Load Was Lightened, I Answered The Lord, As He TAlked, Like I Should.
I Felt My Life Was The Same Way, So I Let HIM Carry Me A Little Way,
HE Walked, Talked And Reveled More Things I Could Not Understand.
Along The Way I Traveled The Clouds Came With The Rain In Middle Day,
Heavy Rains Started, HE Took Me By The Hand, To A Overpass We Ran.
There We Waited Safe And Dry HIS Voice, Loudly Thundered In The Sky,
I Commented, How Beauitful It Was, The Storm Passed, Onward We Trod.
Everyone Busy With Thier Lives, Fail To Notice The Truth Before Thier Eyes.
I Found A Set Of Keys, I Left Them Be, They Didn't Fit The Kingdom Of GOD.
When We Live And Do What's Right, We Find The Path To The LIGHT,
All Day I Knew My Journey, Could Be Shortened, But There Was More To See.
I Was Having Troubled Forgiving My Stepbrother, In My Heart Though It's Right.
He Goes To Church To Have Breakfast, There Is Hope For Him And Me.
The LORD Multiply's The Wrong And Hurt That Comes To His Children,
I'm Don't To Forgive Those Who Hurt Me, I Don't Want Them To Recieve HIS Wrath.
The Pain In My Heart Was Dragg'n Me Down, My Heavy Toobox I Set Down Then,
I Had About $1.25 I Could Call My Wife, If A Pay Phone Could Be Found On My Path.
There I Sat, The Three Crosses At My Back, I Rested My Journey Had Only Began,
Folks On Ridge Road, Too Busy With Thier Lifes To See A Man Praying For Help.
Onward My Cross Was Heavy, Knowing That I Must Carry It Till To My Journey End,
I Started Worrying About Crossing Lake Ray Hubbard, JESUS Knew How I Felt.
On My Path I Found Lots Of Signs, Dead Animal's Lay Where They Were Struck,
I Found Knives That Would End My Jouney, I Knew This To Be A Sin Not Forgiven.
For Also I Found A Trailer Hitch, Maybe A Hurst Lost it, Oh LORD I Need My Truck.
When The Lake, I Arrived Heavy Traffic On The Bridge, A New Path Was Given.
Night Had Fallen, I Was Crawl'n, Careless Driver's, On Thier Way, In A Rush
Bright Lights In My Face, Looking Ahead A Waste, To The Left A Railroad Track.
In The Moonlight Steel Rails Were Straight,The Beckoning Gleam Was Too Much,
The Way Was Clear, So Down On The Ties We Walked, With Dallas At My Back.
Onward We Went,The LORD Showing, His Amazing Grace And A Calm Feeling,
When We Arrived At The Waters Edge, A Railroad Bridge Across The Great Divide,
The Way Was Straight, Gleaming Steel On Each Side, The Way Was Revealing,
Thoughts Of On Coming Trains, & Ones From My Back, But JESUS Was On My Side.
This Day Was Surrealistic, Faith Was Needed, As Rippling Water, I Could See,
Peter On The Water Walked, Eyes On The LORD, He Sank Till A Hand He Touched.
The Bridge Was Strong, Trains Crossed Daily, And Angels Were Watching Over Me,
So I Set My Eyes On The Other Side, Step By Step, Tie By Tie, The Day Was Hushed.
Upon JESUS I Walked In Faith, Below Me, Through The Track, The Lake Was Deep,
Railroads Space Ties So Evenly, Once We Set Our Pace, Solid Footing Was Found."
I Knew One Misplaced Step, And I Would Fall, My Sprit Weak, To Me He Would Speak,
I Felt Like The Weight Was Lifted, My Heavy Load, Toolbox Hidden Safe And Sound.
We Walked Narrow Path Ahead, Nosiy Cars On The Right, Fishermen On The Left.
It Was Dark About Seven Thirty, A Mile, Over Waters Deep, Onward We Did Creep.
We Made It Safely, A Walk Of Faith Ended On Solid Ground, I Caught My Breath,
People Rushing To Get Too Where They Are Heading, I Wished I Was Home Asleep.
Our Journey, Still Not Over, The Railroad Track Looked Like The Pathway Straight,
So On We Went, A Little Way Further, A Deep Cut In The Hill Ahead Of Us, Reached
A Bar Ditch Deep On Each Side, Steel Rails, Shining In The Moonlight Looked Great.
As We Traveled the Rail curved Left, By This Time On each Side The Hill Was Steep.
Ahead Valley Walls Grew Tall And Very Steep Slowly Ahead In The Dark I Did Creep,
Up On The Hilltop,A Light Brightly Shinning, JESUS Watching, Over Me I Thought.
The Journey Long, But Not Over, My LORD Had More To Reveal, Before Sleep,
Rails Ahead, Dimly Lit, I Tripped On Uneven Ties, HE Carried Me, On We Fought.
The Further WE Walked, Darkness Surrounded Us, Shadow Of Death, Around Me.
The Path Ahead, Grew Dim, Tripping Not FallIng, Praying, My Hope, On WE Fought,
The Foe Laughing, A Battle Ahead, Heart Pounding In My Breast, Wished I Could See,
Eyes On Me In The Dark, You Walk Halfway In And Halfway Out, My Only Thought
WE Made It!, Tall Walls Were Coming Down, On The Rails Light Was Found,
A Street Ahead Across The Track, On the Sidewalk I Layed Down To Rest My Back."
As I Rested People Passed, The Street Lamp Brightly Shinning, None Slowed Down,
The Good Sameritian Wasn't Around, Over The Rails Cars Went Clickty-Clack.
I Got Up, After A While, To Continue The Journey, On The Concrete Path I Traveled,
From North Garland To Royse City, WE Traveled, Many Things, The LORD Revealed.
I Found Commuication With HIM A Pleasure, Still More Was To Be Unraveled,
Man's Technolgy Had Let Me Down, A Job Would Be Needed,
